Greene Contemporary has been selected as one of sixty-two galleries to participate in the upcoming Bridge Art Fair Chicago '07. This international art fair will take place at the same time as Art Chicago and is a part of Artropolis, a citywide celebration of art, antiques and culture. The fair runs from April 26-30, 2007 on the 12th floor of the Chicago Apparel Center at 350 West Mart Center across the street from the famous Merchandise Mart.

Greene Contemporary represents emerging, mid-career and established artists as well as the Estate of Syd Solomon. Jonathan Greene is "happy to be participating in a fair in the city where gallery artists Syd Solomon, Paul Lorenz and Jeffrey Schwartz studied at the School of the Art Institute." "It is a great opportunity to showcase the gallery artists," he added. While the gallery will have wireless access to its database of all the gallery artists, in the booth at the fair the gallery will feature the work of Joseph Arnegger, Omar Chacon, Brian Haverlock, Paul Lorenz, Nicole Mauser and Sabrina Small.

In addition to Bridge Art, four other art and antiques shows will be co-located at The Merchandise Mart. There will be a total of about 400 galleries, dealers and artists participating in the five art and antiques shows. When combined, about 8,000 objects will be shown in 400,000 square feet throughout The Merchandise Mart complex.

• The Artist Project, a new art exhibition dedicated to independent artists of two-dimensional, mixed media, photography and sculpture, will feature 50 artists not yet represented by galleries.

• The Intuit Show of Folk and Outsider Art will feature 42 galleries showing an array of outstanding self-taught, intuitive and outsider art.

• Bridge Art Fair, a show of young galleries, commercial and non-profit, featuring the work of emerging and new contemporary work in all media.

• Art Chicago will span 200,000 square feet, the entire 7th floor of the iconic Merchandise Mart, to accommodate 132 galleries and stunning special exhibitions.

Making its debut at Art Chicago™ 2007, the New InSight exhibition promises to be an
exciting display of the future emerging talent in the art world. Curated by Susanne Ghez, director of The Renaissance Society at The University of Chicago, New InSight is comprised of artwork from 24 graduate students at 12 of the country's most influential Master of Fine Arts programs.
